New Brochure Coming to Your Mailbox Soon...

Have you been telling your friends about José Carreras and his efforts to fight leukemia, and wishing you had a pamphlet to pass along? Thanks to the efforts of several volunteers, a new foundation brochure has been created. We are excited to have updated material to serve as a “calling card” for the Friends. Within the next few weeks, each person on the newsletter mailing list will receive several copies of the brochure. Please keep a copy for yourself, and pass the others along to friends you want to introduce to the foundation.

Linda Wells, a volunteer recruited through Microsoft, did a tremendous job on the brochure. The Friends are very grateful for her work. The efforts of Mark Patterson and Andrea Wallace, who assisted Linda, are also appreciated.

Special Events Department

Virginia Ensesa, José’s long-time personal secretary, gave birth to a 7-pound baby girl on March 24. She is named for her mother, Virginia Batista Ensesa. Our best wishes to Mom and baby.

A new design is being created exclusively for us, and we promise to have them available before Thanksgiving. Final price will be determined by printing costs, and will likely range $10-15 for 10 cards. For more information contact Diane Sturiale by e-mail at DIMET1079@aol.com or by letter at 2 Royal Meadow Lane, Framingham, MA 01701.
